On Tuesday, the Chief Minister inaugurated a blood donation camp and the newly constructed auditorium at TIT, located in Narsinghgarh. He remarked that having an auditorium is crucial for any institution as it serves as a platform for various events and student performances. The state government aims to establish an auditorium in every educational institution. Dr. Saha, who is also a medical college teacher, highlighted the deep bond between students and teachers, urging students to extract knowledge from their educators. He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to engage directly with students and emphasized that the future belongs to those who possess knowledge.

Dr. Saha also shared his recent visits to Mumbai and Delhi, where he explored spaces for proposed Tripura Bhavan in Mumbai and a new Tripura Bhavan in Delhi. He recalled the institution’s earlier days when it was known as a polytechnic and remembered the violent incidents associated with it in the 1970s.

The Chief Minister mentioned the 19 ITIs in the state, many of which are in poor condition. However, a recent partnership with Tata Technologies will modernize these institutions with an investment of ₹700 crore, improving training and employment opportunities for students. Additionally, he shared his meeting with Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, where they discussed potential industries in Tripura.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including MLA Nayan Sarkar, and other officials from the Education Department. The new auditorium, costing ₹18 crore, has a seating capacity of 885 and aims to enhance the educational infrastructure. The blood donation camp organized by the college’s NSS unit was also well-received.
