Agartala: Dec 10: A meeting was held to mark the third anniversary of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the Sharad Samman 2024. The event, which took place at the AMC Conference Hall, was attended by key officials including Mayor Deepak Majumdar, Commissioner Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, and other distinguished members of the corporation.
The BJP-run Agartala Municipal Corporation began its operations on December 8, 2021, and this month, it celebrated three years of service. To commemorate this milestone, the meeting was organized to reflect on the corporation’s achievements and address ongoing concerns in the city.
During the event, Mayor Deepak Majumdar, who is also the local MLA, led discussions alongside other corporators. The agenda included planning for the Sharad Samman 2024, a prestigious award to recognize outstanding contributions in various fields. The meeting also served as a platform to review the corporation’s progress and set the date for the upcoming Sharad Samman ceremony.
In addition to celebrating the corporation’s anniversary, the discussions also focused on the overall development of Agartala, with specific attention given to tackling the city’s ongoing mosquito menace. The Mayor emphasized the importance of addressing public health concerns while planning for the city’s growth.
