Agartala: May 24: The husband and mother-in-law of a housewife who was injured in a fire at Kalitila in Teliamura have been arrested. They were arrested based on the complaint of the injured housewife’s mother.

On May 21, a housewife named Suparna Sarkar (25) from Kalitila (Banar Chaumuhuni) in Teliamura was set on fire. The housewife was seriously injured in the incident. She is currently undergoing treatment at Agartala GB Hospital in critical condition.

In this situation, the housewife’s mother filed a written complaint against the housewife’s husband, teacher Prabhal Sarkar, and mother-in-law Kalyani Sarkar at Teliamura Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police of the station arrested teacher husband Prabhal Sarkar and mother-in-law Kalyani Sarkar, who were burnt in the fire, and took them to Teliamura Police Station. They were sent to Khowai Court this morning. The incident has caused tension in the area.
