Agartala: May 24: GRP station OC Tapas Das said today that they received intelligence that some Bangladeshi nationals would be leaving Agartala Railway Station for other states. Based on this information, plainclothes police were deployed at the station. The railway police became suspicious of three women and one man who were seen roaming around the station premises. When asked about their destination, their statements were found to be inconsistent. They were then detained and taken to the GRP station. During interrogation, they confessed to being Bangladeshi citizens. None of them had any valid documents.

The accused have been identified as Sukhlal Debnath, Rozina Begum, Ruma Akhtar, and Kakali Begum. A case has been registered against them at Agartala GRP Police Station.
