BJP, IPFT, and Tipra Motha Hold Crucial Meeting Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Agartala: Mar 25: In a significant development, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), and Tipra Motha convened for a closed-door meeting at a private hotel in the capital city. The high-level gathering included Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Biplab Kumar Deb (BJP candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat), Kriti Singh Debbarma (BJP candidate for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat), state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya, and other ministers and MLAs representing IPFT and Tipra Motha.

The primary agenda of the meeting centered around formulating an effective campaign strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Discussions spanned several hours as party leaders analyzed the feedback received from the electorate in recent days.

Notably, insiders reveal that the ruling coalition is particularly concerned about securing victory in the East Tripura constituency. The party leadership acknowledges the need for concerted efforts to clinch this crucial seat.

Rajiv Bhattacharya, the state president of the BJP, emphasized the existing BJP-IPFT coalition government in the state. Subsequently, collaborative coordination was established with Tipra Motha.

Against this backdrop, a coordination meeting took place on Monday, bringing together all MLAs and MPs from BJP, IPFT, and Tipra Motha. Top office bearers of the respective organizations were also in attendance.

The meeting yielded a comprehensive framework, designed to foster seamless collaboration among party members, with a keen eye on the assembly elections. The goal is to secure victory for BJP’s nominated candidates in both the West and East Tripura Lok Sabha constituencies. Strengthening this coordination down to the grassroots level emerged as a key priority during the deliberations.
