Agartala : August 1: 8 rehab centers with 50 beds will be opened in 8 districts for the treatment of drug addicts. In the budget of the financial year 2024-24, resources of 1 thousand 756 crores have been kept for the health department. This was said by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while formally inaugurating the Agartala Government Nursing College at NIT Building of IGM Hospital Complex in the capital on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that in this year’s budget, sufficient amount of money has been kept for infrastructure development because if there is no infrastructure, investors will not want to come. Around 100 new sub health centers will be constructed in the financial year 2023-24. A resource of 30 crore rupees has been kept for it. The Chief Minister said that 8 50-bed de-addiction centers will be opened in 8 districts for the treatment of drug addicts. People go to nursing homes to smuggle small arms. If there is a problem, then he rushes to the government hospital. People need to be understood about this, people need to be made aware. The rate of out-of-state patient referrals has decreased significantly. Arrangements have been made to honor the doctors. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also said that the government is working within its limited powers. Apart from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Health Department Secretary Debashish Basu, Director of Health Department and others were present at the event.
