Agartala: Oct 01: To follow the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 01/10/2023, 71 Bn CRPF officials organized ‘Swatchha Bharat Abhiyan” programme in different places in order to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary in a befitting manner. Abhiyan has been organized in many places like Khumulwng Bus Stand, Polytechniqe College, Tankir Bazar in Jirania West Tripura. Programme has been organized in Agriculture office, Jampuijala, in Sepahijala district also in which approximately 120-130 locals along with CRPF personnel from all ranks & files participated with full enthusiasm. Sh. Ram Palat, (Commandant-71 Bn CRPF) motivated and messaged the participants about the importance of health & sanitation and encouraged them to take active participation in cleanliness drive. Speaking on the occasion he said that the father of Nation “Mahatma Gandhi Ji” wanted ‘Clean India’ along with ‘Free India’. As it is said, a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Also made mentioned that cleanliness is next to Godliness, spread awareness amongst all about this cleanliness campaign
and inspired them to have a clean house and clean surroundings.
Sh. K.K. Mukhopadhyay (Second-in-Commandant), Sh. B.S Sukla (Dy.Commandant) and Sh. Yogesh Kumar, (Dy.Commandant) were also motivated the social workers and participated in the drive with interest. The drive was warmly welcomed and appreciated by general public. Locals have thanked the battalion soldiers for the good job.
