Agartala: Dec 01: Tripura Police has again achieved great success. The police of East police station managed to arrest seven thieves with various stolen items recently. If they are interrogated, various information about the gang of thieves will be known, said Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debaprasad Roy.

SDPO Debaprasad Roy said that there were complaints of theft in various places last November. Based on that complaint, the police formed a special team and started the investigation. Police raided various places. Through this operation, the police have been able to arrest several thieves in two or three rounds. Three people were arrested on November 29. Their names are Sujit Das, Jhumon Mia, Antar Devbarma. Later, when they were interrogated, the names of 4 more accused came up. The police arrested them and brought them to the police station. The arrested are Akash Dev, Bapan Debnath, Dipatanu Saha and Tuton Burman, a laptop along with gold ornaments were seized from them. The market value of which will be around 8 lakh rupees, he said.

He also said that if they are interrogated, various information about the gang of thieves will be known.
