Agartala: August 30: Under the initiative of MP Biplab Kumar Deb, 600 food packets were distributed to flood victims in the Durga Chaumuhani Bitterbon area of the capital. Local BJP leaders handed over the relief materials to the affected individuals today.

Addressing the media, state BJP general secretary Papiya Dutta highlighted the widespread impact of the devastating floods, which have displaced many residents, including farmers and common people, who are now taking shelter in temporary camps. She emphasized the state government’s ongoing efforts to manage the disaster and mentioned the central government’s assurance of financial assistance. Additionally, states such as Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have also pledged support.

Dutta noted that six Agartala assembly constituencies have been severely affected by the floods. Relief materials have been distributed to approximately 600 affected individuals in these constituencies. She commended MP Biplab Kumar Deb for his efforts to ensure that the affected people receive the necessary support.
