Agartala July 31: Ganja seized again by Ambasa police station. A vehicle bearing AS 03 Y 5007 was impounded by the police during the checking of Upanagar Naka under Ambassa subdivision on Monday. After searching the car, the police seized 60 kg of dry Gaza in 57 packets from different places inside the car.

Dhalai District Superintendent of Police Abhinash Rai, Ambassa Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar, OC Biswajit Debbarma rushed to the spot after receiving the information. Ambassa Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar said that the vehicle was intercepted by the police after it reached the Sub Nagar Naka checking point through Ambassa. Gaza was recovered after searching the vehicle. The market value of the recovered ganja is estimated at Rs 6 lakh. However, the police could not arrest the driver and the co-driver of the car. It is known that they left the car and ran away. According to the police, an investigation has been started.
