Agartala: Jan 19: The 47th Kokborok Day is being celebrated across the state today. A grand rally was inaugurated from the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala this morning. The state government’s Department of Kokborok and Other Minority Languages, Education has organized various programs to celebrate this day.

A cultural program has been organized at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan today. Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the program this morning. Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma was also present at a special event.

 

In the morning rally organized on this special day, Minister of Power Ratan Lal Nath, MLA Rampad Jamatia, and former MLA Dr. Atul Debbarma, among others, participated. Students from various schools and colleges also participated enthusiastically in the rally.

 

Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that this day plays a significant role in the development of the Kokborok language and culture. The state government has been taking various initiatives to promote and propagate this language.
