Ganja was seized from a car in the area adjacent to Mungiakami market on Friday morning. According to the details of the incident, based on a tip-off, the police of Mungiakami police station were able to seize 350 kg of dry ganja from a container vehicle numbered MH 05 AM 2084.
Along with this, the police of Mungiakami police station arrested the driver of Bihar state named Bhushan Roy. The market value of seized ganja will be approximately 7 lakh rupees, said the Sub-Divisional Police Officer. Police believe that an attempt was made to distribute the ganja from Agartala to outside the state. The arrested person is being interrogated by the police. It is believed that the names of others involved with him may also emerge after enquiry.
