Agartala: July 09: In a significant operation, the Panisagar police seized 20 cartons of Burmese cigarettes from vehicle S 01 BI 1547 on Tuesday morning. Each carton contained 10,000 cigarette packets, with an estimated total value of approximately 8 lakh taka.

Two individuals were apprehended during the operation. Rahul Nandi, 22 years old, residing in Damchara’s Narendra Nagar area, and Rabindra Sarkar, 30 years old, from RK Pur thana area under Udaipur, were taken into custody. The Panisagar police have initiated interrogations with the arrested individuals to uncover further details related to the case.
