Yuva Apda Mitra Camp begins; 800 NCC cadets to be trained

Agartala, November 8:
The New Star Club, one of the oldest and most respected community organizations in the 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency, celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of its newly constructed building on Saturday. Established in 1968, the club has been a cornerstone of social and cultural life in the locality for over five decades.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and local MLA Dipak Majumdar, who officially opened the new facility in the presence of Club President Sapan Bhattacharjee, Secretary Prabir Kumar Pal, and several eminent personalities, club members, and residents of the area.

In his address, Mayor Majumdar commended the club for its unwavering dedication to community development and social welfare. “Since its inception, New Star Club has worked tirelessly to serve the people—organizing social outreach programs, assisting the underprivileged, promoting peace and harmony, and fostering unity among residents,” he said.

Reflecting on his long-standing association with the organization, Majumdar spoke warmly of his personal bond with the club. “This is one of Agartala’s oldest and most vibrant clubs, and I have been personally connected with it for many years. The new building marks a fresh beginning and will serve as a hub for constructive community engagement and youth involvement,” he added.

Club President Sapan Bhattacharjee and Secretary Prabir Kumar Pal expressed gratitude to the members and local residents for their continuous support in realizing the long-awaited project. They noted that the new facility will host a range of activities—from sports and cultural events to educational and welfare initiatives—aimed at strengthening community ties and continuing the club’s legacy of public service.
