Agartala: Sept 21: For the past three days, there have been continuous attacks on Chakma, Hindu, and other tribal communities in Diginala, Khagrachari, and surrounding areas in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. These attacks have displaced many families. In response, the YTF organized a demonstration in front of the Gandhi statue at the Circuit House. Following the demonstration, a procession was held, and a deputation was submitted to the Bangladesh High Commissioner.

A member of the organization reported that the situation in Bangladesh is currently unstable, with daily attacks on Hindus, Chakmas, and Tripuras. Many families have been displaced, facing insecurity. Over a hundred houses have been set on fire, and approximately 67 people have been killed. Tipra Motha and YTF have demanded security for those living in Bangladesh.

Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, the former leader of Tipra Motha, expressed his support for Bengali Hindu, Chakma, Marma Buddhist, and Christian minorities in Bangladesh on social media. He condemned the attacks and thanked the Muslim community of Tripura for their presence in the protest march.
