Agartala: Feb 11: In a tragic turn of events, a young man lost his life in the Karuimura Chowmuhani area, under the jurisdiction of Bishalgarh police station. The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight, has sent shockwaves through the entire community.

According to reports, a heated dispute erupted between two individuals, Fayez Mia and Sharif Mia, over a financial transaction. Tempers flared, leading to a physical altercation. In a fateful moment, Fayez brandished a knife and inflicted a fatal wound on Sharif Mia’s stomach. Fayez himself sustained minor injuries during the scuffle.

Eyewitnesses promptly alerted the Bishalgarh Fire Brigade, who swiftly transported Sharif Mia to Bishalgarh Subdivisional Hospital. However, due to the severity of the injury, he was later transferred to the Medical College in Hapania. Despite medical efforts, Sharif’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was subsequently moved to GBP Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

In a swift response, Bishalgarh police apprehended Fayez Mia at Bishalgarh Subdivisional Hospital and escorted him to the police station for further investigation. Authorities are diligently probing the circumstances surrounding this fatal encounter, seeking answers and justice for the grieving family.
