Agartala May 6: Police arrested 3 people with Yaba tablets worth Tk 6 crore after searching the car in front of Churaibari police station. The arrested are residents of Sonamura sub-district Dhanpur. When asked for details from the police, District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty said, based on secret information, they sit at Naka Point in Utpet. At that time, as soon as TR O1 F 2938 numbered Bolero car arrived, about 16 thousand Yaba were recovered.

Three people were arrested. The arrested have been identified as Shubhankar Debnath, Idris Mia, Rajat Pal. Their house is in Dhanpur area of Sonamura subdivision. District Superintendent of Police also said that the price of one seized tablet is Tk 1,000. According to that, about 6 crores worth of Yaba has been recovered. But the question has started to arise as to how the vehicle crossed so many points from Sonamura. So clearly the police are not actively performing their duties even though they have tip-off. Due to which, on the one hand, drugs are being smuggled out of the state, on the other hand, drugs are entering the state. Activation of Naka points will help the police to prevent not only drug possession but also crimes like theft and robbery. In other words, the common people think that there is a lack of police presence in the field.
