Agartala: Sept 18: A tragic incident occurred in Bishalgarh Gazaria, where a TSR jawan has been accused of setting his wife on fire, leading to her death. The deceased’s family has lodged a complaint against the jawan, and the police have arrested the accused.

According to the in-laws, Swapan Das and Lakshmi Das had been married for 11 years and have a daughter. Swapan Das is employed with the 12th Battalion of TSR. On the day of the incident, all three wives of the household had gone to see the puja and returned home around 8 pm.
