Woman seriously injure

Agartala, January 18: An attempt to hack a woman to death in public in the market has created panic among the public. The woman who was seriously injured in the incident in Khupilong Bazar area of Udaipur subdivision is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

According to the husband of the injured woman, his wife Harini Kanya Jamatia (32) went to Khupling Bazar in Udaipur subdivision. As soon as she went to the market, a man named Shyamal Ghosh chased after his wife with a knife in his hand. Then Harini Kanya tried to run away from the scene but could not be saved. Accused Shyamal Ghosh is alleged to have hit him on the head with a stick. Local people immediately rescued him and took him to the hospital. Meanwhile, the family members rushed to the spot after getting the news. He is currently under treatment in the hospital.
