Agartala, August 26: A month ago a skull was found in the Kalyan Sagar lake in Mata Tripureshwari Temple, one of the 51st  Sakthipeeths. So the lake water had become impure.

According to the scriptures, after one and a half months, today according to religion, 108 pots of water are brought from the river Gomati and thrown into the lake of Kalyan Sagar. On Saturday, there was a remarkable presence of devotees at the Dighi for this special puja.

Incidentally, a sensational incident was observed at Mata Tripureshwari Temple, one of the Ekkann Sakthipeeths. On July 12 i.e. Wednesday morning, morning hikers found a skull floating in the Kalyansagar Lake. After preliminary examination, the police said, a human skull was recovered. The police initially believed that the skull was brought from somewhere else and dumped in the Kalyan Sagar Lake. The accused involved in the incident have not been identified yet.

Chandan Chakraborty, head priest of Matabari temple, expressed concern and said that if the skull is of a human, then there is a need to revise the rules and regulations related to water usage. He also informed that the water of Kalyan Sagar Lake will be purified. Today, after one and a half months, according to the scriptures, 108 pots of water were brought from the Gomati River and thrown into the Kalyan Sagar Lake.
