Two children were critically injured: bomb blast

Two children were critically injured when a suspected crude bomb exploded which they mistook for ball and were playing with it.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon next to the Dasarath Deb Stadium in Badharghat area in Agartala.

Condition of the injured who were rushed to the trauma centre in Agartala Government Medical College and GB hospital is quite critical.

One of them sustained serious injuries in hand while the others suffered hand and face wounds.

The injured were identified as one Abhijit Shil and Deep Das – both students of the Kabirajtilla Higher Secondary School and are students of class eight and six respectively.

Police rushed to the hospital to investigate the incident and viewed that condition of both the injured children is quite serious.
