Agartala: August 31: Despite strict security measures at the border, Bangladeshi citizens continue to illegally enter the state. The West Agartala Police Station has arrested two more individuals on charges of infiltration.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Paritosh Das of West Agartala Police Station stated, “On August 29, one Bangladeshi citizen was arrested from Lankamara. He was produced in court seeking police remand. After interrogating him, two more Bangladeshi citizens were arrested. Last night, two Bangladeshi citizens were arrested from the City Center area of the capital.”

He further mentioned, “The arrested individuals are Rafik Sheikh and Azim Uddin. They will be produced in court today, Saturday, seeking police remand.”
