Agartala: Dec 28: Corporation authorities should take initiative in collecting outstanding electricity bills of government and private electricity departments. A mass deputation was given to the Managing Director of Vidyut Nigam by TSECL Workers and Employees Sanghar on Wednesday. TSECL Workers and Employees Union President Anup Acharya was present during the deputation.After giving the deputation, he faced the journalists and said that all the employees who are working under TSECL have been working more than the scheduled time. Since 2018, they have not received any money for this overtime work. Many deputations have been made to the officials concerned about this. But even that did not work. He also said that some irregular workers are being recruited through various agencies. He demanded to appoint all these workers on regular basis. At the same time, he demanded to change the meters of customers who have been switched off immediately. He also raised several other demands.
