Agartala April 29: Tripura is going to get Veterinary Central University very soon. Minister Sudhanshu Das informed about this on Saturday. On the occasion of World Veterinary Day-2023 on Saturday, a program was organized at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan on the initiative of Tripura Veterinary Council. The program was auspiciously inaugurated by the minister of the concerned department Sudhanshu Das. “Promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Veterinary Profession” – workshops on this theme.
Speaking, the minister said, after visiting the veterinary college, it came up in front of him that the boys and girls of the state have to go abroad for PG courses. The Minister announced on this day that the state is going to get a Veterinary Central University soon. He also said that in May, a meeting will be held with the concerned Union Minister and the President of the Veterinary Council of India to decide when the foundation stone will be laid in the state. Minister Sudhanshu Das also said that Animal Resource Development Department is very important in strengthening the rural economy. He appealed to the veterinarians and officials to take up the plan. He asked for the cooperation of the concerned to meet the shortage of meat, eggs and milk. If this shortfall can be filled using all sources, it will be beneficial on both sides. On the one hand self-sufficient in food and on the other hand employment opportunities will be created for the unemployed. Once the Veterinary Central University is established in the state, the boys and girls of the state should not go outside the state. You will get the opportunity of higher education in Tripura.
