Agartala: Oct 27: A pivotal meeting was convened to evaluate the organizational structure and activities of the Tripura State Fishermen’s Union, with former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurating the event. This gathering brought together key stakeholders, including union members, local leaders, and fisheries experts, to discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing the fishing community in Tripura.

Former Chief Minister Sarkar provided insights into the potential for legislative support and funding for fisheries development, emphasizing the importance of political advocacy in securing a brighter future for fishermen in the state.
