Large number of devotees attended the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral church rituals on Friday afternoon and prayed for universal peace and prosperity.

Pastor priests accompanied by other clergy members conducted the walk as passionate Christian devotees carried wooden cross as they participated in the ‘Way of the Cross’ that started from Holy Cross school to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral church.

Devotees do this to show their love for Jesus Christ and also to feel the same pain that Jesus had endured during his crucifixion. This is the day in history, recorded as the day when Jesus Christ was crucified but still it is said Good Friday, Good because on this day, Lord Jesus did a great deed. He sacrificed Himself for humanity.

In fact, Jesus showed the way of tolerance and in today’s world also it is very relevant to love each other or one nation toward another for world peace and prosperity.
