Tripura Legislative Assembly Begins Budget Session for 2025-26

Agartala: Mar 21: The 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly’s budget session for the fiscal year 2025-26 commenced on Friday, March 21, and is scheduled to continue until April 1.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy presented the state budget for the upcoming fiscal year during the session. The proceedings were attended by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Speaker Biswabandhu Sen, cabinet members, and MLAs from the BJP and Tipra Motha. Opposition leader Jitendra Choudhury, along with CPM and Congress MLAs, also participated in the session.

 

This budget presentation marks a pivotal moment in the state’s economic planning, with detailed discussions and debates expected in the coming days. Earlier in the day, the state cabinet convened a meeting at the Secretariat ahead of the session’s commencement.
