Agartala: Sept 20: A protest march was organized in the city by the West District Committee of the Tripura Khet Majur Union, calling for compensation for the recent flood victims. Following the march, a delegation submitted a deputation to the West District Magistrate.

Shyamal Dey, the state committee secretary, highlighted the severe impact of the recent floods on the common people. Many have been forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in temporary relief camps. Dey criticized the state government for not taking practical steps to support the flood victims, noting that their jobs, food supplies, homes, and agricultural lands have been significantly damaged. The protest aimed to draw attention to these issues and demand appropriate compensation from the authorities.
