Agartala: Oct 06: In an initiative led by Tripura Gramin Bank and managed by the West Tripura District Regional Office, new saris were distributed to 150 women and new shirts to 150 men at Ram Thakur Pathshala Higher Secondary Girls’ School in Pratapgarh. This effort aimed to assist those affected by the recent floods, particularly in light of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. The distribution was carried out with the cooperation of the Councilor of Ward No. 31, Agartala Municipal Corporation.
Additionally, a health camp was organized at the same location for flood victims, supported by the Rotary Club of Agartala city and managed by the West Tripura District Regional Office of Tripura Gramin Bank. The health camp featured three departments: child, skin, and medicine. Expert doctors provided necessary medical care, and medicines were distributed free of cost to the patients. The event saw significant enthusiasm from the local community.
Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya attended the event, along with key representatives from Tripura Gramin Bank, including Regional Head Ms. Payel Saha, Manager Anupam Som Bhaumik, Pradeep Pal, and other bank employees and officers. Doctors Nihar Ranjan Das, Sanjay Kundu, Shyamal Krishna Banik, Kamal Ranjan Das, and several other experienced medical professionals were present to offer their services at the health camp.
