Agartala: Nov 16:The state government of Tripura has decided to revolutionize the training at 19 ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) over the next five years with the joint support of the Tata Group. Under this agreement, the Tata Group will contribute 86% of the funding, while the Tripura government will contribute 14%. A total of 570 crore 40 lakh rupees will be invested to improve the training infrastructure in ITIs across Tripura.
The state government has also decided to take a loan of 121 crore 87 lakh rupees from NABARD for this purpose. Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury announced this decision at a press conference held at the Secretariat today. He claimed that the Tripura government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding with Tata Technologies.
