Tripura Government Announces 3% Hike in Dearness Allowance

Agartala: Mar 21: In a significant move following the budget announcement, the Chief Minister of Tripura declared an additional 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees and teachers. This announcement, made in the Legislative Assembly, will take effect from April 1 and is expected to incur an additional expenditure of ₹300 crore.

The decision also extends to pensioners, ensuring they benefit from the increased allowance. With this hike, the total Dearness Allowance provided by the state government will now reach 33%. This measure is seen as a step towards addressing the financial needs of government employees and pensioners in the state.
