Agartala, Oct 24: Tripura is gearing up to host the much-anticipated “Unity Promo Fest-2025” at the iconic Neermahal (Rajghat) on November 29, continuing its annual tradition of promoting tourism and cultural exchange.
The two-day festival, organized by the Tripura Tourism Department, aims to highlight the state’s rich heritage, vibrant art forms, and diverse traditions while fostering greater public participation in cultural promotion.
In preparation for the event, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury chaired a high-level review meeting on Friday at the Sepahijala District Magistrate’s Conference Hall in Bishramganj. The meeting was attended by Minister Kishore Barman, Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Dutta, Tourism Secretary U.K. Chakma, Tourism Director Prashant Badal Negi, DM Sepahijala Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, Minister Chowdhury underscored the significance of tourism as both an economic driver and a medium for cultural integration. He said that the Unity Promo Fest provides a platform for visitors to experience Tripura’s unique traditions while contributing to local livelihoods through increased tourism activity.
Discussions were held on logistics, venue preparation, promotional strategies, security arrangements, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
The upcoming festival will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, food stalls, traditional art showcases, and interactive sessions, reflecting Tripura’s identity as a vibrant, inclusive, and culturally rich destination.
“The Tourism Department is fully committed to making the Unity Promo Fest-2025 a landmark celebration of unity, heritage, and hospitality,” said Minister Chowdhury, adding that such events strengthen Tripura’s position on India’s tourism map and deepen the spirit of togetherness among communities.
