Tripura Gears Up for Panchayat Elections with Political Parties Strategizing

Agartala: June 17: The state election department of Tripura has hinted that the tri-tier panchayat elections may take place from the last week of July, provided all preparations proceed smoothly. In anticipation of the elections, political parties are actively devising their strategies.

The ruling party, BJP, appears to be advancing its campaign efforts. A strategic meeting was held at the state BJP office, led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Sahar. The meeting saw participation from state BJP president Rajeev Bhattacharya, ministers Pranajit Singh Roy, Ratan Lal Nath, and other party officials.

During the meeting, discussions were held on how the BJP plans to approach the upcoming elections at the panchayat level. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of engaging with citizens, assessing the effectiveness of government schemes, and addressing public issues.

Party sources indicate that a comprehensive discussion on various topics took place, focusing on strengthening the party’s position in the forthcoming electoral contest.
