Speaking to reporters, a member of the committee said, “The situation in Bangladesh has been volatile for the past few months. Hindus and other minority communities are being persecuted. Their homes are being attacked and their property is being destroyed. The videos of the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh that have gone viral on social media are extremely inhumane and condemnable.”

He further stated, “Similarly, multiple videos of the Indian national flag being trampled at the gate of an educational institution in Bangladesh have gone viral on social media. As Indians, these videos of our national flag being disrespected are extremely painful and a blow to our conscience. We cannot tolerate the disrespect of our national flag. Therefore, the Gaussia Samiti has spoken out against it.”

They demanded that the desecration of the Indian national flag be stopped immediately, that the videos of the desecration of the Indian national flag that have gone viral on social media be clarified, that the persecution of Hindus and all other minority communities in Bangladesh be stopped immediately, and that the dignity of religious minority leaders and the property of religious minorities be protected.
