Tripura Cricket Association election results announced, Tapan Lodh group wins

Agartala, February 15: Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) election results have been declared. The Tapan Lodh group won the election with a margin of 23-5 votes.

The election was held on Thursday according to the instructions of the High Court. There were a total of 30 voters including 18 sub-divisions, 14 clubs and 1 life member in the election. Earlier three polls were canceled due to errors in the nomination papers of representatives from Kailashahar, Ambassa and Kanchanpur.

On February 13, three candidates won unopposed. Subrata Dev won the post of editor, Jayanta Dev the post of joint editor, Upananda Debbarma the post of vice president and Alok Ghosh the post of life member. Elections were held today for the posts of president, treasurer and council members.

Amit Rakshit and Tapan Lodh contested for the post of president. Jaynal Das and Basudev Chakraborty contested for the post of treasurer. Tapan Chowdhury and Soumitra Gop contested for the post of council member.

The winning candidate Tapan Lodh said that the election was held peacefully. He thanked all those who supported him.
