Tripura Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Agartala, September 5, 2024 – The state-level celebration of Teachers’ Day took place at Agartala Town Hall, organized by the Education Department. The event marked the 63rd Teachers’ Day and was attended by Minister Santana Chakma as the chief guest.

The Director of the Education Department, N.C. Sharma, was also present as a special guest. The program began with Minister Chakma paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In her address, she emphasized the vital role of teachers in shaping future generations.

Minister Chakma highlighted that teachers are the backbone of society and urged them to educate students to become responsible citizens. She noted that Tripura is making significant strides in the education sector, with students excelling in both academics and sports. She expressed confidence in the continued success of the state’s students.

Teachers who provided free education to students and assisted during flood situations were honored at the event. Minister Chakma also read a message from the Chief Minister addressed to the students. The event was attended by teachers and students from various schools.
