Agartala: April 30: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education has declared the results for the Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations. A total of 25,673 students passed the Secondary examination, while 17,052 students successfully cleared the Higher Secondary level. The overall pass percentages stand at 86.53% for Secondary students and 79.29% for Higher Secondary students.
At the district level, South Tripura recorded the highest pass rate in the Secondary examination, with 92.69% of students passing, while Sepahijala district led in the Higher Secondary results with a pass rate of 87.38%. In contrast, Khowai district had the lowest pass rates in both examinations, with 78.54% in the Secondary level and 71.95% in the Higher Secondary level.
Board President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Choudhury, during a press conference, provided further insights into the results. He stated that 29,670 students appeared for the Secondary examination, including 13,861 boys and 15,809 girls from 1,057 schools across Tripura. For the Higher Secondary examination, 21,506 students appeared, consisting of 9,920 boys and 11,586 girls.
Tripura Board Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey highlighted the performance of physically challenged students, noting that 110 out of 166 students passed the Secondary examination, while 70 out of 90 successfully cleared the Higher Secondary level. Additionally, students seeking a review of their results can submit applications at their respective schools on May 7, 8, and 9. A supplementary examination is expected to be conducted within the next two months.
