Tripura Achieves Success in National Panchayat Awards

Agartala: Dec 06: Tripura has achieved tremendous success in the National Panchayat Awards. Out of 2.5 lakh panchayats in the country, the state has been awarded a total of seven national awards. President Draupadi Murmu will present the awards at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on December 11th. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced this on social media on Friday. He informed that Gomati district is the best district in the country. The district will receive a prize of Rs 5 crore.

Tripura GMP to contest all 28 seats in upcoming ADC polls

Amrapur RD Block is the best block in the country. A financial award of Rs 1.75 crore has been announced for this block. The third award, for the best women-friendly panchayat in the country, goes to Dakshin Manubankul Rupaichhari RD Block, with an announced prize of Rs 1 crore. Thakchhara, under Amrapur RD Block, has received a special award as the second-best Gram Urja Panchayat. An award of Rs 75 lakh has been announced. On the other hand, the poverty-free and improved livelihood villages, with adequate water and child-friendly villages, are Betchhara under Kumarghat RD Block, Devbari under Amrapur RD Block, and Rangkang under Amrapur RD Block. A financial award of Rs 50 lakh has been announced for each. The total prize money is Rs 10 crore.

The Chief Minister, while informing the people of the state on social media, said that this special achievement is a testament to the successful transformation of good governance and improvement in the lives of citizens under the state government. The Chief Minister congratulated all the elected representatives associated with the panchayati raj system, as well as all the officers and employees of the panchayat department, for this achievement.
