Agartala June 18: An hour-long rain on Sunday put people’s lives at risk at an amusement park under the Smart City project. The incident occurred in the morning rain at around 12 o’clock in the park of Jagannath house. A huge tree in the park collapsed today. This resulted in damage to the park walls and other building materials.

However, no casualties were reported on this day. But due to the carelessness of the Municipal Corporation and the Urban Development Department, the tree has been in danger for a long time in the park. If the administration had taken action on the tree in time then this damage would not have happened today. And the tree fell on the Agartala Press Club. The administrative staff rushed to the news of the incident. Locals say trees are essential for the beauty of the environment. Trees play a major role in controlling pollution. But many boys and girls come to spend time in the park every day. If this incident had been organized at that time, who would have taken responsibility for it? So management needs to think about trees standing at risk.
