Agartala: August 24: Members of the transgender community, often marginalized by society, have stepped up to support flood-affected people in Tripura. Following the Gandacherra incident, they have been distributing food items to those in need. On Saturday, they visited various schools, including Bardowali Twelfth Class School in Agartala, to provide assistance.

Arriving with cars full of rice, lentils, potatoes, onions, oil, and other essentials, they handed over these relief materials to people in the flood-affected areas. They explained that throughout the year, they receive tips from people at weddings or when someone has a child. Feeling it was necessary to stand by people during this disaster, they emphasized that humanity is more important than societal perceptions.
