Agartala, June 29 (AD): Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik, BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharya, MLA Bhagaban Das and MLA Kishore Barman met with the family members of those killed in an overturned chariot accident in Tripura. Besides, on this day they went to Fatikrai and Kumarghat hospitals and inquired about the physical condition of the injured. Not only that, they shared the pain of the deceased family by attending the funeral of the deceased. On this day, in a press conference, the state BJP president assured to stand by everyone in difficult times.

Seven people, including 3 children, died tragically due to electrocution in an ISKCON reverse chariot in Kumarghat sub-division in Unakoti Tripura district on Wednesday. 16 people were injured. They are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Six people have been admitted to GB Hospital for advanced treatment.

 

Union minister Pratima Bhowmik, state BJP president Rajeev Bhattacharya and MLA Kishore Barman Kumarghat rushed to the train this morning. They went there and inquired about the treatment of the injured in the accident at Kumarghat and Phatikrai hospitals. After that, they went to the house of the electrocuted victims and expressed their condolences to the family members. Not only that, he promised to stand by them. At that time Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik was very emotional. Seeing people’s cries in front of his eyes, his eyes were twitching. He wiped away his tears in private.

Today they visited the accident site at Kumarghat block Chaumuhani along with the police. Finally, they also participated in the funeral of those who were electrocuted in an upside down chariot. On this day, the state BJP president said, we feel deeply shocked by this cold incident in the festive atmosphere. Today, I tried to stand by the family by attending the funeral of the deceased with my colleagues. It is impossible to bring back the lives lost in this tragic accident, but we will do our best to ensure that such a heartbreaking situation does not happen anywhere in the future, he said with a tone of conviction.

 

In a press conference today, the state president said that the top leadership of all sections of the BJP has inquired about yesterday’s incident and expressed grief. Pradesh Pravari Mahesh Sharma, North Eastern Coordinator Sambit Patra learned about the incident over telephone yesterday and expressed his condolences. The BJP state president sought through his OSD. The whole situation has been sent to him in writing. He said that 7 people injured in the incident are currently undergoing treatment at Kumarghat Hospital, 4 at Fatikrai Hospital and 2 at Kailashahar District Hospital.
