 Torch Procession Marks 25th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas in Agartala

Agartala, July 25:  To honor the valor and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War, a torch procession was held in the heart of the capital city. Organized by the state youth wing, the event commemorated the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The procession commenced from the Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan School ground, winding its way through various roads in Agartala. It culminated in front of the state BJP office, where participants paid tribute to the fallen heroes.

At the forefront of the procession stood the state BJP president, Rajib Bhattacharya, accompanied by the youth wing leadership. Speaking to the media, Bhattacharya highlighted the historical significance of Kargil, emphasizing that Indian soldiers had bravely reclaimed the region after it was briefly occupied by the Pakistani army.

The torch procession served as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by our armed forces and underscored the importance of remembering their courage and dedication.
