Agartala: July 25: In Tripura, the Trinamool Congress faced a major setback. Senior lawyer Piyush Kanti Biswas has resigned from the post of Tripura Pradesh President of Trinamool. He claimed to have resigned from the Trinamool president post and the party due to personal reasons. However, there are strong rumors in political circles that he will soon join the BJP.

Trinamool Congress has been very active in expanding its organization in Tripura outside of West Bengal. Agartala Pur Nigam and Mamata Banerjee’s party lost ginger water in Tripura in 2023 assembly elections. From the party’s All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee to Tabar Tabar leaders have visited Tripura frequently. Trinamool supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were also not left out. But, there is zero receipt in the result book. Security of Trinamool has been seized in the assembly elections.
Recently, longtime Trinamool leader Ashish Lal Singh left the party and joined the BJP. There is no denying that the resignation of Piyush Kanti Biswas from the post of party president today has brought a major setback to the Trinamool Congress in Tripura. On this day, Piyush Babu said, I have resigned from the post of Trinamool Congress state president for personal reasons. Because, due to personal problems, I have not been able to perform the duties of the team properly for quite some time. As a result, rather than being criticized by the team, I thought it better to be relieved of the responsibility.
