Amarpur, 12th of February 2024. The TISF organization has staged road blockade here on Teliamura-Amarpur road at Twidu under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura today. Aiming to aware the state government the indigenous students have raised their voice for Roman scripts. To obtain approval of Roman scripts for Kokborok language a large number of volunteers of indigenous organization TISF have  gathered in the blockade spot and began to slogan for Roman scripts  to draw attention of the state government of Tripura. The students of the organization claimed that Roman scripts are most favourable for reading, writing, typing and creating suitable pronunciation for Kokborok language. On the other hand Roman scripts have been using for Kokborok language since last many decades. They demanded the government should approve this Roman scripts for Kokborok language in the state as the all indigenous communities in Tripura want it for their mother tongue.
