Somewhere again, the ticket fight has started between more than one leader of the same party.Bishalgarh is one of the focasing points of state politics. Bishalgarh has been one of the leading names in state politics since the 70’s. Bishalgarh has led the state politics many times before, starting from the former Chief Minister of the state.
Keeping this in mind, all the opposition parties, including the ruling party, are busy preparing their ground for the forthcoming 2023 state assembly elections.Already, rumors are circulating that all the political parties are going to bring a new face in the upcoming assembly elections in Bishalgarh.
Lawyer Nitai Chowdhury contested the Bishalgarh assembly constituency in the 2018 assembly elections on behalf of the ruling BJP. He lost to CPIM MLA and former minister Bhanulal Saha by 766 votes. It is alleged that Nitai Chowdhury, the candidate of BJP, lost the politics of Bishalgarh after the election. It is also reported that there is nothing in Bishalgarh now to support Nitai Chowdhury.
However, BJP sources said that the ruling party is going to bring a special surprise in the Bishalgarh assembly constituency in the 2023 elections. Many, including Mandal president Sushanta Deb and provincial youth front president Nabadal Banik, have been dreaming of a BJP ticket in Bishalgarh, but provincial BJP general secretary Tinku Roy is going to contest on a BJP ticket from the Bishalgarh assembly constituency. He was defeated by CPIM candidate Islam Uddin at the Kadamtala Kurti Center in the north in the 2018 assembly elections.
There are already rumors that Tinku Roy’s name is appearing in the voters’ list in a panchayat area in the western part of Bishalgarh assembly constituency.
On the other hand, the main opposition party CPI (M) has already started holding public rallies ahead of the Assembly elections, even though it has been refraining from holding public rallies for a long time. The 8th Divisional Conference of the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Committee of DYFI was held on 20th February in the presence of SFI State Secretary Sandeepan Deb at the party office of CPIM at Bishalgarh Office Tila.A public meeting was held on this day with more than a hundred activist supporters.According to the opinion of the political circles, the preparations for the assembly elections of CPIM started in Bishalgarh. However, the CPIM party is also going to bring a special surprise in Bishalgarh in the Assembly elections.Sources said that incumbent MLA Bhanu Lal Saha is no longer getting ticket on behalf of CPIM in the election 2023. Bhanu Lal Saha will be replaced by Partha Pratim Majumder, the first chairperson of Bishalgarh Nagar Panchayat and secretary of CPIM’s Bishalgarh subdivision committee.
PArtha Pratim Majumdar has previously held important positions such as vice chairman of Bishalgarh Municipal Council and state president of DYFI.
Moreover, the acceptance of Partha Majumdar in Bishalgarh is not only among the leftist supporters but also among the abominable people.
Meanwhile, the state Congress party is reluctant to take a step back in the game of surprise to defeat BJP and CPIM in the 2023 elections. The Congress is also going to bring a big surprise in the next election. According to Congress sources, Joydev Roy Barman, son of former Chief Minister Sameer Ranjan Barman, is getting a ticket in Bishalgarh on behalf of the Congress party in the 2023 Assembly elections.
Joydul Hossain, the Congress candidate, got only 715 votes to contest the 2018 Assembly elections.Joydul Hossain got the team ticket only because of Birjit’s closeness.Samir Ranjan Barman was a long time MLA from Bishalgarh for the Congress party and also became the Chief Minister of the state.
In that respect, there is a special vote share of the Barman family in Bishalgarh. According to Congress sources, Barman’s son Joydev will be useful to pull this vote share.Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha have already joined the Congress party. It is learned that after the joining of Sudip and Ashish, the Congress party in the state has become quite strong.
All in all, Bishalgarh is going to be transformed into a surprise in the 2023 assembly elections.
