Agartala, March 7: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP All India President JP Nadda are coming today to finalize the selection of full cabinet members of the BJP coalition government in Tripura. They will reach Agartala at 5:30 pm today. BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharya said that the swearing-in of the BJP coalition government will take place tomorrow. So, Union Home Minister and BJP All India President are coming today. The Prime Minister will also attend tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony.
Incidentally, Dr. Manik Saha was elected as the leader in the BJP council meeting yesterday. In the meeting on that day, Union Minister and newly elected MLA Pratima Bhowmik proposed the name of Dr. Manik Sahar as the council leader. Then legislators Rampada Jamatia and Ratan Lal Nath suggested his name. Dr. Manik was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP council. At the end of the meeting, the BJP submitted its demand to Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya to form the government.
The other members of the cabinet will be chosen around the swearing-in ceremony of the new government tomorrow. With that, some new faces are rumored to be coming. However, there is confusion over who will be the Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. In 2018, Biplab Kumar Dev became the Chief Minister and Jishnu Dev Varma the Deputy Chief Minister. This time Dr. Manik Saha is becoming the Chief Minister again. But, as Jishnu Dev Varma was defeated, an alliance emerged over the distribution of the post of Deputy Chief Minister. He was also in charge of the finance department. So, who will be the Finance Minister, BJP is worried about that.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Pratima Bhaumik won the election. As a result, the thought of how auspicious the matter will be if he is not given the heavyweight office is also eating away at the BJP. However, he is ready to accept any decision of the party. In this case, the responsibility of the team has increased a lot. Sources claim that the Union Home Minister and the BJP All India President are coming to Tripura a day before the swearing-in of the new government to clear all the entanglements. BJP state president said that they will come to Tripura and meet all MLAs. It is expected that the two central leaders will finalize the selection of cabinet members.
