The unemployed demand the appointment of pharmacists

Agartala July 2: Since 2016, no pharmacist has been officially appointed in the state. But every year many pharmacists are retiring. Recruitment of pharmacists is stopped even if they are recruited in other areas. Bhati Abhay Nagar Health Center is running without a pharmacist. It is happening out of order.

Bidhan Das made this complaint on behalf of Unemployed Pharmacists of Tripura in a press conference at Agartala Press Club on Sunday. In 2021-22, there were 756 pharmacists in the state. 237 people are currently working. 519 vacancies are vacant. They demanded to fill this vacancy immediately. 412 public pharmacists were advertised in December 2021. In August 2022 it was again advertised that 210 people would be recruited. No recruitment even after advertising twice. They claim that there are currently over 4,000 registered pharmacists in the state. Unemployed pharmacists are demanding immediate appointment of pharmacists.
