Agartala, June 24: Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha will inaugurate Tripura’s traditional Kharchi Mela on June 26. Ratan Chakraborty, chairman of the fair committee and MLA, said this at a press conference at the old Agartala block office today. He claimed that the gathering of devotees will be more this year than last year in this seven-day long fair.

On this day, he said, the gathering of saints and devotees from the country and abroad will be noticeable in the seven-day long Kharchi Mela. The temple of the fourteenth deity is already being decorated around the fair.

He claimed that the number of devotees in Kharchi Mela will be more this year than last year. He said, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will inaugurate Tripura’s traditional Kharchi Mela on June 26. Food Minister Sushant Chowdhury, People’s Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder and others will be present on this day.
