The police recovered dry cannabis worth twenty lakh rupees

Agartala, January 23: Smugglers are using novel methods to smuggle cannabis every day. On the basis of secret information, the police managed to recover dry cannabis worth twenty lakh rupees from three electronic control systems inside the parcel room of Dharmanagar railway station at around eight o’clock last night.

Uttar District District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty said that on the basis of secret information, Dharmanagar Police Station received information that cannabis would be smuggled in a novel manner through the parcel room. Based on that information, the police conducted an operation. 61 kg of dry cannabis was recovered from inside the electronics control system during the raid. He said that the market value of seized cannabis will be approximately twenty lakh rupees.
