A student of the organization complained that the National Education Policy has been implemented in higher education in Tripura this year. But it has been noticed that the admission fee in general degree college has increased three times this year as compared to last year. He further alleged that the BJP government in Tripura has been ruthlessly attacking higher education in the state since its formation. General degree colleges are charging thousands of rupees in the name of higher education. In protest against that, a demonstration was held in front of the office of the director of higher education in Shiksha Bhawan. They demand that increased fees in colleges should be reduced.
